Hello everyone. I thought I would post "hubby's" card that I made for his birthday last week. He has an 'old type' chair like this which he enjoys relaxing in after a hard day grafting in the garden. I was hoping we were going to get the same weather as last year (nothing like thinking optimistically is there...lol..).
I decided to create a long narrow card for a change which I made from A3 card from the paper mill.
I used a combination of distress inks and pan pastels to create the background colours and sun.
I stamped the chair and gardening accessories with black archival and coloured them in with pro markers, the birds the same. The plants were stamped with a combo of memento green inks.
I added quikcuts corners on two sides on the front and also on the inside. I purposely didn't add a sentiment as I thought it would spoil it. Hope you all like it. Hugs Dee x
Oh Dee, if only the weather was nice enough to sit out in the sun! I'm still able to build snowmen here, although it is starting to thaw at last. My dad swore by his deck chair, wouldn't swap it for any of the modern garden chairs. This card is great. I love the way you have done the background!
