A great welcome to everyone who takes a few minutes to visit my blog, and hope you will return. I started off scrapbooking, but making cards soon overtook and I really enjoy seeing the end results. I enjoy blog hopping to see the wonderful creations from other crafters, there really are some talented, friendly people out there.

Coffee & Brown birthday card

Good evening crafty friends, hope you' re all enjoying the easter holidays. Unfortunately I brought back a virus with me from Northumberland and have felt really under the weather, it's certainly knocked me off my feet. Combination of heavy cough, cold, swollen glands and conjunctivitis.

The card I am posting today was made a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday. I used various SB dies along with kanban card and papers from stash. The finished card was A5 size.

We received some really good news this week that my Nephew's partner who is currently under going Chemo for Hodgkins Lymphoma has been told she has responded extremely well to the treatment and hopefully will be in remission at the end of it. She has been so positive and strong over the past 6 months. I makes you realise how precious life is.

See you all soon Dee x

Butterfly lady birthday card

Hi crafty friends, just returned from a 4 mile walk in extremely windy conditions, very bracing, definitely blows away the cobwebs.

Todays card is a birthday card I made a couple of weeks ago for a colleagues birthday at work.
The stamp was a freebie from craft stamper magazine, I stamped her using stazon brown ink.
The papers are from a paper pad I bought fairly recently which are Kanban.

Hope the snow is not affecting you too bad in your part of the country. We haven't seen much except on the top of the hills. That's it for now. Dee x

Teddy get well card

A warm welcome this sunday morning to all my crafty friends. Well after a wet start the sun is managing to poke its head in and out of the clouds. We are off to northumberland next week with my son, DIL & Granddaughter so Hope the weather is dry so that we can visit places and getting some exercise. My father came out of hospital on Friday morning after 3 weeks so was very glad to be home, although he is struggling, albeit carers are going in to support him at present, but he is so proud and stubborn and tries to do it himself. The trials and tribulations of getting old!

Anyhow, My card today is one I made quite a time ago for a friend who had an operation, it was a last minute card so quick and simple was the order of the day. I have quite a few cards to make for family in April so I'm going to be busy.

Thank you to everyone who is taking the time to visit my blog and leave such lovely comments, it is so greatly appreciated, and makes it feel worthwhile. Dee x

5th Birthday card - Cinderella

Evening folks. Hope you've all had a good Mothers Day.
Just a quick posting tonight, I made this card for my little Niece's 5 th birthday as she loves Cinderella. Unfortunately I had to post the card and up to today she still hasn't received it, I'm so angry and fed up with the wretched postal service, this isn't the first time this has happened. I try and deliver them now but it isn't always possible to as all my family live a fair distance away in the 'black Country' area.

Anyhow back to the card. I downloaded the picture from the intranet and stuck it onto pink card, and layered it at an angle onto lilac card. The papers were from my stash that I bought off QVC ages ago. I had a Niece wording in my stash and thought this matched well. The flower is also from stash, it is from a K & Co embellishment set. I cut a SB circle die using glitter paper to display the No 5. Hope you like it, all for now Dee x

Burning tyres birthday card

Good evening crafty mates: Hopy you've all enjoyed the beautiful sunny spring day, doesn't it make you feel good to see the yellow glow in the sky.
Tonight the card I'm posting is one I made for my nephew (who is also my godson). He likes cars as well as cycling, and I thought it was a change to the usual cycle cards I make for him.
I've used: Tyres embossing folder coloured with distress ink for the background
Kanban car topper
Lilac cardstock
Bakers twine
Tim holtz gear
Round sentiment
Brads from stash.

Hope you like it. Hugs Dee x
