Hello everyone,
It's not been too bad a week weather wise in birmingham this week, let's hope it continues to improve.
My card tonight was made for my nephew's partner, it was her birthday yesterday and she deserved a lovely day after everything she's been going through over the past 6 months. She's now coming near to the end of her chemo and things are looking very positive. Sorry it isn't a very clear photo but the pale colours haven't come out very well.
Hope you like it, be back soon. Dee x
A great welcome to everyone who takes a few minutes to visit my blog, and hope you will return. I started off scrapbooking, but making cards soon overtook and I really enjoy seeing the end results. I enjoy blog hopping to see the wonderful creations from other crafters, there really are some talented, friendly people out there.

Deck chair birthday card ( The sun has got it's hat on)....
Hello everyone. I thought I would post "hubby's" card that I made for his birthday last week. He has an 'old type' chair like this which he enjoys relaxing in after a hard day grafting in the garden. I was hoping we were going to get the same weather as last year (nothing like thinking optimistically is there...lol..).
I decided to create a long narrow card for a change which I made from A3 card from the paper mill.
I used a combination of distress inks and pan pastels to create the background colours and sun.
I stamped the chair and gardening accessories with black archival and coloured them in with pro markers, the birds the same. The plants were stamped with a combo of memento green inks.
I added quikcuts corners on two sides on the front and also on the inside. I purposely didn't add a sentiment as I thought it would spoil it. Hope you all like it. Hugs Dee x
