A great welcome to everyone who takes a few minutes to visit my blog, and hope you will return. I started off scrapbooking, but making cards soon overtook and I really enjoy seeing the end results. I enjoy blog hopping to see the wonderful creations from other crafters, there really are some talented, friendly people out there.

30th Birthday Celebrations

Just a quick posting today, as I am trying to finish a couple of cards for birthdays.  This is a card I made for my daughter in law's 30th birthday at the end of June. It's 8" x 8" and madde up of various SB Dies, crystal embellishments, cuttlebug corners, papers from stash and organza ribbon.  The inside is decorated in a similar fashion.

Be back soon - have a great weekend

blue swirly flowers and a butterfly

Hi everyone,
Where have all you crafty bloggers gone the past 3-4 weeks, it seems very quiet on the blogging front....
Please please can some kind hearted crafter add to my following list, I seem to have been stuck on 44 for ages now.....
Just a quick posting as I have managed to finish work a little bit earlier today than usual.  Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather this week!!

The card I'm posting I made a couple of weeks ago and haven't yet decided who it will be for.  It's mainly using paper from my stash, along with Marianne dies, ribbon, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a MS punch.  Hope you like it.  See you all soon Dee xx

Stylish Rose

My second card I made for an elderly neighbour who lived next door and moved 2 years ago into warden controlled accommodation locally.  I still keep in touch with her and try to go and see her at least christmas and birthdays.  She's a lovely lady and very kind and thoughtful, and loves flowers and decoupage cards.

I stamped onto white cardstock using Artemio swirl stamps I bought from QVC, they give a lovely impression, I used black Versafine detail stamp. A yellow decoupage rose in the centre, some yellow organza ribbon, mounted onto black card and again onto silver card at an angle, and stuck onto a yellow square 6" card.  Finished off with a couple of small roses in the corner and a card craft birthday wishes.
Makes us think of summer...
